About the Artist

Kate Buckett is an artist specialising in equestrian portraits and landscapes inspired by the English countryside.

​

After studying theatre design at Central Saint Martin's she subsequently worked as a graphic designer creating concepts for advertising and marketing.

​

Always with horses in her life, a point to point victory sealed a radical change in her career. Kate became a racehorse trainer, firstly in point to point and then under National Hunt Rules.

 

Kate has now turned to painting where her depth of knowledge and experience of racing life resonates through her work.
